"Our aim is not only to make the child understand, and still less to force him to memorize, but so to touch his imagination as to enthuse him to his innermost core."
Moreau Montessori School is a non-profit, non-discriminatory school that provides an enriched, stimulating environment within which the child is an active explorer and learner. We provide a warm and accepting environment in which each child feels secure, respected and loved.
The Montessori environment maintains a balance between freedom and order. The child is free to move about and choose his or her own activities. However, he or she
adheres to ground rules of order, respect for materials, and respect for peers.
We offer half-day and full-day programs for preschoolers (ages 2-5) and elementary students (kindergarten - third grade). Our summer enrichment program offers language, math, nature, geography, botany, zoology, foreign language, and cultural studies.
Moreau Montessori relies greatly on parent volunteers for a variety of activities throughout the school year: social events, fundraising activities, and building maintenance. We also offer educational sessions to help parents learn more about the Montessori philosophy.
